Relaxing Saturday at the Grove’s Sunset Beats and Eats

My last visit at the Grove by Rockwell was when I ate at Asakusa, one of the first newly opened restaurants in The Grove’s Retail Row (more on that experience here). For the unfamiliar, the Grove Retail Row is the newest retail destination by Rockwell in Pasig. Last Saturday, I was happy to be back this time with Charz, Pearl, and a few of our close friends for Sunset Beats and Eats, an outdoor food and music affair to introduce the new and exciting food destinations at the Grove community.\r\n\r\nSince I had a work event that lasted almost the entire day, I was looking forward to having a nightcap to unwind and check out the latest in that part of the metro. So, despite the looming holiday traffic everywhere in the city, I trooped to Pasig all the way from Makati, all for the love of new food discoveries, good music and great company.\r\n\r\nBy the time I arrived, what welcomed me were hip music from local alternative band She’s Only Sixteen, a tastefully decorated set up, food booths, and a welcome loot bag for the press (more on this later)–giving that signature relaxed Rockwell lifestyle vibe. Charz, Pearl, and our friends have already started eating and drinking (yay for happy hour!) and so I had some catching up to do. I excitedly made my way to each of the booths set up by Asakusa, BurgerPub, Backyard Kitchen + Brew, Om Indian Kitchen, and Precynct and use up the PHP500 worth of “play money” which we could use at the booths only for that day. How cute!\r\n
